RCB vs DC Live Score : Delhi Capitals’ spin duo Kuldeep Yadav (2/17) and Vipraj Nigam (2/18) led a stunning turnaround on a sluggish Chinnaswamy surface, holding Royal Challengers Bengaluru to just 163/7 after a flying start in their IPL 2025 clash.
RCB were off to a thunderous beginning, blasting past 50 inside just three overs. Phil Salt was the chief aggressor, smashing a rapid 17-ball 37 and dismantling Mitchell Starc for 24 runs in the third over. His opening stand of 61 with Virat Kohli looked ominous until a miscommunication saw Salt run out.
From there, the momentum shifted. Vipraj Nigam’s disciplined spell started the squeeze, giving away just two runs in his first over. Mohit Sharma kept the pressure on, and Devdutt Padikkal fell cheaply. Kohli, trying to break free, was caught after misjudging a wide delivery from Nigam.
The middle-order collapse continued with quick wickets of Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone. RCB lost five wickets for just 41 runs between overs 6 and 13, scoring only two boundaries and a six during that stretch.
Captain Rajat Patidar looked promising with a few crisp shots but was undone by a low-bouncing delivery from Kuldeep. Tim David’s late blitz (37* off 20) gave RCB a final push, but Delhi’s bowlers kept things under control to end the innings well below par.
With 163 on the board, the Capitals will back themselves to chase the target and continue their unbeaten run this season.
