Following the result, RCB slipped to fourth in the points table, with four wins and three losses from seven matches. On the other hand, Punjab Kings climbed to second place with 10 points, having secured their fifth win in seven games.
Looking ahead, RCB will have the chance to bounce back as they face Punjab Kings once again in the reverse fixture, scheduled for Sunday in Mullanpur.
