LSG vs GT, IPL 2025 Highlights: The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) continued their winning momentum in the IPL 2025 with a commanding six-wicket win over Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on Saturday. Despite captain Rishabh Pant’s continued struggle with the bat, LSG registered their third consecutive victory and climbed to third place in the points table, right behind GT.
Chasing a competitive target of 181, Lucknow reached 186/4 in 19.3 overs, thanks to powerful knocks from Nicholas Pooran (61 off 34 balls) and Aiden Markram (58 off 31 balls). Markram gave LSG a flying start in the powerplay, attacking GT’s pacers early on. With Mitchell Marsh unavailable, Pant opened the innings but failed to impress once again, managing 21 off 18 balls before falling to Prasidh Krishna in the seventh over.
Markram continued the onslaught, hammering nine boundaries and a six before getting out in the 12th over. Pooran took charge next, smashing seven sixes in a blistering display before being dismissed by Rashid Khan. Impact Player Ayush Badoni (28)* sealed the win with a six in the final over, as Lucknow chased down the target with three balls to spare.
Earlier in the day, LSG skipper Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first. Gujarat Titans got off to a fantastic start, with Shubman Gill (60 off 38) and Sai Sudharsan (56 off 32) putting on a century stand. The duo punished LSG bowlers in the powerplay and beyond, guiding GT to 109/0 in 11 overs. However, once Gill fell to Avesh Khan in the 13th over and Sudharsan followed suit in the next to Ravi Bishnoi, the momentum slowed.
GT couldn’t fully capitalize on the solid platform, as they lost wickets regularly in the death overs. Shardul Thakur picked up two key wickets in the final over, and Gujarat finished on 180/6.
