In Match 6 (RR vs KKR) of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will aim to secure their first win of the season as they face off at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on March 26 (Wednesday). Both teams are coming off heavy defeats in their opening matches.
The Knight Riders’ middle order faltered against Royal Challengers Bangalore, and their bowling unit struggled, allowing a target of 174 to be chased down in just 16.2 overs. Meanwhile, the Royals endured a disastrous start against Sunrisers Hyderabad, conceding 90 runs in the Powerplay and ultimately failing to chase down a record total.
Although Sanju Samson, who played as an impact substitute, and Dhruv Jurel impressed, RR still fell short by 44 runs.
Change of fortunes for Rajasthan skipper Riyan Parag at home
Parag will be hoping for a change of fortunes when he leads Rajasthan in front of his home crowd in Guwahati. His debut as IPL captain didn’t go as planned, with his team conceding the second-highest total in IPL history.
